Music Technology at County Prep High School

As a Music Technology major at County Prep High School, I am fortunate and grateful for the opportunity to participate in annual live shows—productions comparable to professional concerts—that allow me to foster my creative and performing endeavors. Each show has been a chance to explore and refine my artistry, helping me grow as a creative entrepreneur and discover new dimensions of my passion for music.

In addition to fostering creativity through performance, I have gained valuable experience in other aspects of the music industry, such as music production, audio recording, and live sound engineering. These opportunities have allowed me to develop technical skills and a deeper understanding of what it takes to bring a creative vision to life, both on stage and behind the scenes. This well-rounded experience continues to shape my journey as I strive to make a lasting impact in the music industry.

OUR LADY OF MERCY CHURCH | July 14, 2024

On July 14, 2024, I had the honor of performing in a concert at Our Lady of Mercy Church, my local Catholic parish with a predominantly Filipino community. The event, inspired by Filipino music known as Original Pinoy Music (OPM), celebrated cultural heritage while raising funds for the church. Alongside fellow choir members and community musicians, we delivered a 90-minute show to share the joy and spirit of Filipino music with the congregation.

This concert was a meaningful experience that deepened my connection to my ethnic roots. Learning and performing songs in Tagalog allowed me to feel more connected to my family in the Philippines and embrace my cultural identity.

My performances featured:

  • “Tagpuan” by Moira Dela Torre

  • “Buwan” by Juan Karlos Labajo
