As the founder and social media manager of the Music & Audio Technology Department’s Instagram account, I have dedicated over 7 hours per week to building and growing its success. My responsibilities include:
Attending all department events
Weekly content planning
Content creation and video editing
Effective communication and collaboration with students and faculty

Formed in June 2024, I joined the first cohort to manage my high school’s official Instagram account. After accepting an invitation from the Vice Principal and account founder, I created posts, edited videos, and designed informational stories for the 2024-2025 school year, keeping the school community informed about events and boosting school spirit.

In 2024, I joined the Youth Foundation of Jersey City’s Media Team, supporting its mission to provide meaningful experiences for the youth of Jersey City, NJ. Recruited by the Media Team Director, I document events through photography and videography, also serving as the camera operator for interviews with key figures such as the nonprofit’s founder, board members, junior board members, volunteers, politicians, and families. My work helps capture and share the impactful stories of the foundation’s efforts.
Student Internship
As a student intern for the Music & Audio Technology Department, I have had the privilege of working closely with faculty and fellow Music Technology majors since the summer of 2023. This experience spans both the academic year and summer months, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the department's daily operations and the creative process behind its many productions. My role has allowed me to engage directly in the technical, creative, and organizational aspects of music technology, fostering collaboration and innovation.
This role has provided invaluable hands-on experience, helping me refine my technical skills in studio setup, recording sessions, and production management. Additionally, I have strengthened my organizational abilities, learning to balance multiple responsibilities while ensuring department events and projects run smoothly. Contributing to the department's ongoing success has been both a rewarding challenge and a significant step in my growth as a music technology professional.
Responsibilities:
Attending advisory committee meetings as a member of the Music & Audio Technology Department Advisory Committee
Assisting with non-major productions, including the Drama Club’s school plays Alice in Wonderland and A Trip to the Moon
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of department facilities
Setting up the recording studio for recording sessions
Gaining hands-on experience in studio work
Writing articles for the district newsletter, HCST Connections
Collaborating with faculty and Music Technology majors
Facilitating and assisting with events, such as the annual Songwriting Competition
